Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan endorsed former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Sunday, calling Haley “the strongest chance” for Republicans to put forward the best possible candidate in the general election.
“I’ve been saying since last spring when I made the decision not to run that I really didn’t want to see a multi-car pileup,” Hogan said on CNN’s “State of the Union” in reference to a fractured, crowded GOP field facing Trump. “So yes. I think it is time for the party to get behind Nikki Haley. … I believe Nikki Haley is the strongest chance for us to put forth our best possible candidate for November.”
